Cold & Flu Season Reminders

Consider getting the flu vaccine.

Practice good hand hygiene including washing hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, washing hands after coughing or sneezing, and using alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.

Practice good respiratory hygiene including using tissues to cover the mouth and nose when sneezing or coughing, and dispose of the tissue immediately in a trash can.

If you don't use a tissue, cough/sneeze in your upper sleeve, not your hands, and wash hands after coughing or sneezing.

If your child is sick with a fever, they need to be fever free for 24 hours without medication before returning to school.

If your child is having vomiting and diarrhea, they should not return to school until it has been 24 hours from their last episode of vomiting/diarrhea.
